I love this jacket for my K2. It looks great and it holds my Kindle really snuggly. I bought my mother a Kindle for Christmas and I got her the same jacket but in a different color – it’s a really great accessory.

This kindle jacket has been very nice and useful for my kindle! I really like the metal latch that binds the kindle to the case. And the leather strap fits snug each time I open and close it. Its great to be able to read quickly without page turning.

I love the look of this jacket for my new Kindle! The leather is soft, good quality and… looks just like a journal! The only con for this case is that the front flap doesn’t fold back. It would make it easier to hold the Kindle that way, but unfortunately that is not a feature. Didn’t think about this when I purchased it. It basically serves just as a book does, but is a great and fashionable cover!

I love this product! It is well made and gives the Kindle a “book” feel. It has pockets in it to store notes etc. I am glad I got the leather case because I tend to fold it over when I read. I think the leather will hold up better for that kind of use. I also purchased the reading light that fits along side the Kindle. I am not as happy with that product. The light is weak but it does provide some additional stability to the case.

After determining that it wouldn’t be wise to spend over $100 on a Cole Haan Kindle cover, I picked the M-Edge Genuine Leather Kindle cover in cream. This is my first Kindle and first Kindle cover so you can imagine the time I spent poring over photos, comparing colors and reading reviews. Part of me wishes that I had listened to some of the warnings that other reviewers gave this cover and others in the same line, but I also know that with such limited choices in attractive, (sorta) affordable and convenient protective cases, I don’t know if I could have found one better.
The pros to this cover is that I really do like the super light tan color of the case versus the color of the case shown in the photo. It’s true, the case is not a bright white, but I figure that this color will stand the test of time better than a truer white. The pebbled leather is decent and soft to the touch and the case securely holds my precious Kindle. (Though I don’t get the feeling that this leather is super high quality and I wonder if I should have saved the money and just got the synthetic.)
Now, on to the numerous cons. The cover is WAY too big. At first I thought I had been sent the wrong size, but when I fitted the Kindle into it I realized it was the infamous space left for the pocket light that was messing me up. The extra space left for the light makes what could have been a beautifully fitted case into a clunky hindrance when reading my Kindle. I recently realized I have to stop folding back the front cover because it’s starting to leave a dent that is clearly visible on the outside of the cover when closed. I also find the tucking clasp annoying. I second a past reviewer that wondered why M-Edge didn’t just use a button clasp versus a tucking one. The length of the strap gets in the way when I’m reading and has to be folded down. Tucking the strap into the slot is a hassle and not as easy as it should be (probably because of it’s length).
I had initially picked this “book-like” cover for my Kindle, not because I missed the feeling of holding a book, but to simply protect it when I toss it into my purse. I’m starting to wonder if I wouldn’t have been better off ordering the basic Amazon Kindle cover for it’s sleeker design or an envelope case instead. Unfortunately, until there are more options and people making these cases, this is probably as good as it’s going to get.
