I’ll keep this short because there isn’t very much to say.

    PROS:

    1. When I drop my kindle this keeps it safe and gives it a soft landing.

    2. I love holding it and pushing my fingers into the memory foam

    3. I love the pattern on the outside. I’m 24 and I wanted it to be cool and it achieves that.

    4. I love that the pocket is on the outside. Some are on the inside and I hear whatever you put in the inside pocket scratches screens…

    5. It zips nicely with no trouble

    CONS:

    1. THE zipper pulls are TOO heavy! There are FOUR of them! I had to take two of them off and they are STILL too heavy. I dont want to take the other two off because they are beautiful. I think I must though…they are super loud.

    2. The inside of the pocket isn’t lined with anything…you open it up and the flap is lined but the part you lay stuff on and zip the flap over is just the outside of the case. The outside is made out of ripstop nylon!

    3. when you open up the main on the right flap in the middle next to the zipper is a tag…that DROVE me NUTS! I cut it off…fixed. It would flap and snap against the side of my kindle when I’d shift it so the tag would be over the right side of the kindle and I’d try to change pages and it would snap back into place under the kindle and …it drove me nuts lol

Renova is one of the main “pattern” ad’s on the outside and this is a REAL skin care AD which I think is hilarious. Someone sitting next to you wouldn’t be able to read the ad but I was reading all of them and decided to look it up lol

I love it! Even with its faults I would buy this over the other kindle cases any day. Unlike other kindle cases this one doesn’t crack your screen! Unless you take one of the zipper pulls off and throw it at the screen…then I suppose it would?

This truely is one of the better, but less known it seems, cases for the Kindle 2: Amazon’s New Wireless Reading Device (Latest Generation). It has far better protection than the cases/covers that are advertised right on the Kindle 2 purchase page. The case has a great protective lining and the memory foam inside adds on to the protection. The outside pouch is a nice feature for accessories or whatever (I use it to hold my cellphone and my ID so I don’t have to take my huge purse to work with me all the time – now I just take my essentials and my Kindle!). The main zipper also has a “locking” hole for a luggage lock if you wanted to utilize that for added security. None of the main features (memory foam, luggage lock zipper, an outside added pouch to keep you from scratching your Kindle’s screen with accessories) of this case seem to be on any of the more expensive cases. Without a doubt I highly recommend purchasing this case if you want a case that will secure your Kindle, protect it from damage and costs less than $30.

This case has been tweaked and is slightly different than pics shown. It does not have the mesh case on the inside (good idea), and it also has clear holders for the Kindle on the bottom instead of the black elastic as shown. I read where another reviewer of the Checkered Pattern gave this case one star due to the mesh pocket on the inside. Here is the review: “I’m sure this is a good cover for lightweight use. HOWEVER, please do not put your power cord in the cover and zip it up next to your FRAGILE display screen. Really!”— This is true and maybe why the change was made. However, this person Clearly does not own the case and does not know about the tweaks. People should only review items they own or have handled. Having said that, the pics should be changed.

This is a good STURDY case with two zippers that lap so that you could put a small luggage lock on it. *Note* The News Style print, though very attractive, has images of the Twin Towers on it (was this an oversite?!) This does not bother me but may bother others
